Collaborative law practice is a relatively new way of handling family disputes, designed to be more conciliatory and open in approach than the more traditional and formal methods of litigation.
Ideally, each party will appoint their own lawyer and matters are discussed openly, face to face in a round table format of all parties, rather than via the more formal approach of individual client meetings followed by letters, emails or telephone calls.
Our Family specialist is trained in Collaborative methods and has negotiated successful outcomes with clients in this less confrontational approach to settling differences, without resort to litigation and the courts.
We will work with other collaboratively trained lawyers and will be able to assist with any queries on the processes and can also provide names of additional Collaborative Law practitioners where required.
