Wills & Estate Planning

Although most of us brush aside thoughts of our mortality, we all wish to know that our affairs will be properly managed after our deaths, to the benefit of our loved ones.

It is always advisable to make a will to ensure that your wishes are followed and your assets are divided in accordance with your instructions rather than divided according to statute amongst certain categories of relatives.

We will advise on the preparation of wills from the straightforward to the more complex and can approach this in a number of ways, depending on your personal circumstances and requirements. We will work with you, perhaps to update an existing but out of date will, or start from scratch to consider your wishes.

Everyone should review their will at regular intervals and certainly when personal circumstances change, for example on marriage or the birth of a child. It is also important to review your will when the nature of your estate changes, perhaps when acquiring another property or even assets abroad.

We recognise that sometimes wills are considered only when a life threatening situation arises and with this in mind, we will always adopt a flexible approach to taking your instructions; we can meet with you at our offices, or if you prefer to liaise by e-mail or telephone then we are happy to assist.
